these photos if you were not on the cruise.
Liz Johnstone helped me redo the photos using a digital camera after
scraping the surface of the core. This does a much better job of
exposing core features.

For this photo, I have used photoshop to alter the backgroup, cleaned
up the labels, and highlight the scale bars on either side. I have
not altered any color in the color bars or cores themselves.
You can see the original digital scans below.
The color cards from top down are 2.5Y, 5Y, 10YR, and 5R. The card
off to the left side is GLEY. For more info on Munsell Colors see here.
