This presentation will guide you through the background and
application of Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility 3D probability
density estimations to marine slope failures.
This is the opening slide showing a Rosette cage with CTD sensors
being dropped into the ocean on one of my many cruises. The top left
image is of the actual location of the Ardath Shale slump where the
sample locality for this research project. The bottom left image is a
picture of the Gaviota Slide, a modern slope failure in the Santa
Barbara Channel. The top right image is a closer look at the Ardath
Shale slump being studied. The bottom right image is a capture from
the technology that I have created used to visualize the material
researched.
