Given a control set of points of undeformed AMS fabric for a region, I am working on tools to help classify new points and groups of points as deformed or undeformed. After developing a variety of techniques using the Ardath Shale on outcrop scale problems, I am working to extend the techniques to unlithified sediment cores. The Gaviota slide provides a fresh test case with will mapped slide feature to show each of the available techniques at work.
