Stubbe and Kurt -- 03 Nov 1999 This is info and planning documentation on how to run/start/stop/ and reconfigure the imaging pipeline. Runtime control will be done in each programs incoming queue directory. To stop (kill) a program such as MCP, put a file named "stop.rtc" (rtc = Run Time Control). To pause the processing, put a file called "pause.rtc". To resume, place a "resume.rtc" After processing this file, it will be deleted by the controlling program (e.g. MCP). Explanation: The goal is to let fwdms pile these files through the queue to control the whole thing. Also, a luser can do this to an individual stage by hand. This way we don't all have to have super user privileges to stop someone elses run.
